Responsive volume indicators
Volume indicators in the meeting roster in the web application are significantly more CPU efficient. They are also rendered on a full linear scale, so they are more precise.More responsive mute button
We have made updates to how the mute control works in the web application, reducing any delays between when you turn mute on or off, and when the change takes effect.Increased performance when viewing shared content
Previously, low-power devices or devices with many tabs open could experience reconnects when viewing a screen share, causing Chime to increase usage of CPU. A new Settings page is available for the Windows, macOS clients and the Web application.Windows and macOS clients
A new Settings page is available for the Windows and macOS desktop clients. Navigate to the new page by choosing Settings from the menu next to your name.
The Settings page has tabs for General settings and Meetings settings. In the General tab, you can edit how your availability status is shared and change the font size of chat messages - both of which are new features on desktop.
Delegate management has been moved to the Meetings tab.
The Settings window on the Windows client is found under File > Settings and has been renamed Application Settings. The Settings window on the macOS client is found by navigating to Amazon Chime > Preferences and has been renamed Application Preferences. Delegate settings are no longer found under the Meetings tab.
Web application
A new overall Settings page is available for the web application that has tabs for General settings and Meetings settings. Navigate to the new page by choosing Settings from the menu next to your name.
In the
General tab, you can edit how your availability status is shared, change the font size of chat messages, and send diagnostic logs to report issues.
In the Meetings tab, you can add and remove delegates.
