Deleting your Amazon account from the Amazon Chime iOS or Android apps

Deleting your account was released for iOS on 2022-09-18.

If you registered for an Amazon Chime account using any client app (Windows, macOS, web, iOS, Android) app and created an Amazon.com account and you are not part of your company’s Amazon Chime Team or Enterprise account, you can delete your Amazon.com account from the Amazon Chime iOS or Android app Settings page.

If you are part of an Amazon Chime Team or Enterprise account - the Delete account option will not be presented.

To do this:

  1. Sign-in to the Amazon Chime iOS or Android app with the email you used to create your Amazon Chime account (Amazon.com).

  2. Go to Settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper left.1663563850909.png
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete account. (If Delete account is not displayed, you are part of your company’s Amazon Chime Team or Enterprise account who pays for your usage).

  4. You will be redirect to a webpage to 'Close you Amazon account'. (This option is available via the iOS and Android Amazon Chime apps only, and does not apply to other methods of authentication e.g. Active Directory or Okta Enterprise accounts).

  5. Follow the instructions provided.
    Important Note: Closing your Amazon account is permanent and applies to all Amazon products and services associated with the email address used.
