The answer of expiration depends on the way your one-time meeting ID is generated.

One-time meeting IDs that are generated when Scheduling Meetings will be expired if they are not used for 100 days. This means that you can use the one-time meeting ID in recurring meetings or meetings that are scheduled for a future date. To generate a one-time meeting ID for scheduling meetings:

  • Choose Meetings > Schedule a Meeting and then select One-time meeting ID when using the macOS or Windows Chime client.
  • Choose Schedule a meeting from MEETINGS AND CALLS menu and then select Generate a new ID when using the web app - https://app.chime.aws).
  • Use the Amazon Chime for Windows Outlook add-in and select One-time meeting ID.

One-time meeting IDs that are generated when starting an Instant Meeting expire as soon as the meeting is ended. To generate a one-time meeting ID for an instant meeting:

  • Choose Meetings > Start an Instant Meeting and then select One-time meeting ID when using the macOS or Windows client.
  • Choose Schedule an instant meeting from MEETINGS AND CALLS menu and then select Generate a new ID when the web app - https://app.chime.aws)

One-time meeting IDs are used when initiating a call from a 1:1 or group message or from a chat room. These one-time meeting IDs expire as soon as the meeting is ended. To generate a one-time meeting ID from chat:

  • Click the Call icon in the upper right navigation of a 1:1 or group message or from a chat room when using any of the Chime clients.
