Did Amazon Chime add new reaction capabilities to video meetings?

No, Amazon Chime has not added reactions to the video tile. However, Apple introduced Reactions, a feature that is on by default, in the Sonoma (14.x) release for mac users with Apple Silicon. https://support.apple.com/en-us/105117

You can disable Reactions - the effects that "play" when you make one of the supported gestures - by doing the following. Note: You cannot turn off Reactions for an attendee's tile - only they have the ability to toggle it on or off.

When you are on an Amazon Chime meeting and the video camera is enabled, an icon will appear in the upper menu bar. Click the video icon with the green background and click Reactions to toggle the feature on and off. The setting should then be retained for the Amazon Chime app.
