Image preview [Android, iOS]
We added a new setting (Chat > Image Preview) so you can choose to automatically show the images on your device that are sent via markdown even if they are sent by a user outside your company or posted by an Amazon Chime web hook.
By default, image urls sent to you in chat by users who are in your company are displayed.
If they are sent by someone outside your company or posted via a web hook they are not displayed by default and you must click on a link to view the image preview.
When you turn this setting on, image previews will be displayed for image urls for all posts.
Change this setting by:
- Click the Settings gear in the upper left corner of your Amazon Chime Android or iOS client
- Scroll down to the Chat section
- Use the toggle to turn on or off Image Preview
Note: This setting should be set on each of your Amazon Chime clients (Windows, macOS, web, Android, and iOS)
