What features for Amazon Chime Business Calling are available at launch?

The Amazon Chime team intends to launch Business Calling at Enterprise Connect 2019 – March 19, 2019. At launch we anticipate the following feature:
  • Region support
    • US-East-1 only – additional regions planned
    • US geographic phone numbers only
  • Key Features
    • Phone number (DIDs) assigned to a Chime user.
    • Outbound calling to PSTN numbers using a keypad and to contacts within the Chime desktop, mobile, and web apps.
    • Incoming call rings all clients logged in for a Chime user.
    • Switch active calls between devices.
    • Call Waiting
    • DTMF support
    • Send and receive text messages to phone numbers from Chime messaging interface
    • Visual voicemail in Chime contact
  • Phone Number Management
    • Ability for Administrators to manage phone numbers in the Chime console
    • Ability for Administrators to acquire new phone numbers
    • Number Portability
  • Redundancy/Scalability Architecture
    • Multiple down-stream carrier partners
    • Support for 3-4 availability zones for redundancy
    • Call and signaling nodes part of AWS scaling groups
