Why aren't the meeting invitees getting added properly when I paste them into Outlook for Mac meeting?

I am using the Chime app Schedule Meeting Assistant and when I copy the users to invite Outlook for Mac is not recognizing them as separate email addresses.

Most calendar clients recognize the comma separator between email address in calendar invites so Amazon Chime schedule meeting assistant uses this standard. However, there are times when clients such as Outlook for Mac only recognizes a semi-colon as a valid separator.

To help users schedule meetings easily, the Chime Mac client will look at the default Mail setting on OSX to determine the correct separator to provide.

Do the following to ensure your default Mail client is set properly:
  1. Open the Mail app on OSX.
  2. Navigate to the General tab.
  3. Change this setting to your Microsoft Outlook app.
  4. Close Mail.

When you navigate in the Chime app to Meetings > Schedule a Meeting and choose One-time Meeting ID and then select the Copy option next to step 2 under the Other calendar option the meet@chime.aws and pin+##########@chime.aws email addresses will be separated with a semi-colon.
