How do I change my user account so it does not show Private?

My colleagues are seeing a lock instead of my busy|available|mobile status.

Amazon Chime users can choose to share their presence with Everyone or No one.

If your colleagues are seeing the lock icon, it means your setting is set to No one.

You can change your presence setting on your mobile client (this setting is not yet on desktop).

To change the setting so other Amazon Chime users see your presence state rather than a lock:
  • Navigate to the Settings tab
  • Then choose Everyone under the “Share availability information with” category
