Some of our macOS users (primarily those running macOS Catalina 10.15) have reported that they are having challenges connecting to Amazon Chime calls when using Bluetooth audio devices.

If you are experiencing unstable Bluetooth audio connection immediately following a system restart, please do the following (Note: If you do not have system privileges for your computer, you may need to work with your IT administrator to complete these steps):

  1. Open Finder, choose your hard drive and navigate to the /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools folder.
  2. If com.amazon.Amazon-Chime.coreaudiohelper is in the folder, remove it. This tool is no longer used by Amazon Chime and may interfere with the Bluetooth audio connection at boot time.
  3. Navigate to the /Library/LaunchDaemons folder.
  4. If com.amazon.Amazon-Chime.coreaudiohelper.plist is in the folder, remove it.
  5. Reboot your computer.
