Help. I am not able to hear the meeting audio on my macOS client!
If you are in a meeting and don't hear other attendees, but see the microphone bouncing in the roster, please set the desired output device following the process below.
You can override the system settings during a meeting by navigating to More > Change Audio and selecting the device you want to use for Microphone (audio out) and Speakers (audio in).
Note: There is a known issue that when you connect the monitor via the display port on the Mac, the system sound is automatically routed to the monitor - which may have the volume very low or muted. You may have to manually change it back to your desired speaker device or raise the audio on the display.
With Amazon Chime, we allow our meeting attendees who join from Windows or macOS clients to choose different devices for audio input (speakers) and audio output (microphone).
The default setting is to use the Input and Output devices from the Sound System Preference.
You can override the system settings on your Chime client while you are not on a meeting by navigating to the Audio tab from Amazon Chime > Preferences and selecting the device in the Microphone and Speakers drop down. This list is generated by the operating system so make sure your device is setup and on.
