Rendering Image Previews in Markdown

Image Previews [Windows, macOS, web]

Images sent via markdown to you in chat by users who are in your company are automatically rendered.

If you are sent an image via markdown from a user outside your company or if it is posted by an Amazon Chime web hook, you must click on a link to view the image preview.

You can use the Image previews setting to turn on previews for images even if they are sent to you by an external user or a web hook.

By default this setting is turned off and you must click on the link to render the image. Turn this setting on for each device where you want image previews to be automatically displayed.

Follow these steps to change the setting:

Click on your name > choose Settings > Chat > Image previews > and check Display image previews in messages sent from any user, even if they are outside my company5.23 Image previews setting

Up to 25 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 10.0 MiB each and 96.4 MiB total.
