What codecs does Amazon Chime use?

Amazon Chime supports the codecs below:

Audio:
  • Chime Client: G.711, G.722, Opus and Speex
  • H.323 or SIP device: G.711 and G.722
Video:
  • Chime Client: VP8
  • H.323 or SIP device: H.264 (older device: H.263)
Screen Sharing:
  • Chime Client: VP8
  • H.323 or SIP device: H.264 (older device: H.263)
